About this policy
missingSTEP provides technical trading tools and other apps. This policy explains how we handle information on this website and in apps that link to it. The information processed depends on the app and the features you use; not every app uses every category below. An app-specific notice may provide additional details. Information we process
When you contact us, we receive your email address and the information you choose to send. Our website is hosted by Wix, which processes technical information such as IP address, browser details, page visits and cookies to operate, secure and measure the site.
Apps with online features send installation identifiers, requests and technical diagnostics to our servers. Depending on the feature, this includes strategy descriptions, rules, research prompts, messages, backtest results, watchlists, monitoring settings and scan history. Some conversations, preferences and saved versions are also stored on your device.
AI, notifications and purchases
When you use AI-assisted strategy or research features, your submitted text, relevant strategy information and analysis context are sent to our servers and an AI service provider, including Anthropic, to produce the requested response. Avoid including passwords, brokerage credentials or sensitive personal information in prompts.
Apps that support push notifications use providers such as Google Firebase Cloud Messaging to process a device notification token and notification content. You can manage notification permission in your device settings.
Apple App Store or Google Play processes purchases made through those stores. We may receive and store purchase tokens, transaction or order identifiers, subscription status and expiry information to verify access and restore purchases. We do not receive your full payment-card details from app-store purchases.
How information is used and shared
We use information to deliver requested features, maintain saved server records, verify subscriptions, apply usage limits, send enabled alerts, respond to support requests, diagnose failures and protect the service. Hosting, AI, notification, payment and website providers process relevant information for those functions. We may also disclose information where required by law or necessary to protect legal rights and prevent abuse.
Providers may process information in countries other than your own. Their handling of information is also described in their privacy notices. This policy does not cover websites or services operated independently of missingSTEP.
Cookies and website choices
Wix uses cookies and similar technologies for essential website functions and may use them for analytics. Where a cookie preference control is available, use it to manage optional cookies. Browser settings can also block or delete cookies; doing so may affect some site functions.
Storage, retention and deletion
We retain information for the purposes described here, including providing requested features, resolving support issues, securing the service and meeting legal obligations. Retention depends on the type of record and why it is needed; we do not promise immediate removal from every backup or service-provider system.
Where an app offers “Delete all my data,” it removes the local and currently associated server data covered by that control. You can also request access, correction or deletion by emailing support@missingstep.com and identifying the app concerned. We may need information to locate your records and verify the request. Limited records may be retained where necessary for legal obligations, fraud prevention or security.
Deleting an app or its data does not cancel a subscription. Cancel through the store where you subscribed. Reinstalling or restoring a purchase may restore subscription access without restoring all locally stored conversations or saved work.
Security and your rights
We use safeguards such as encrypted connections for online app requests and access controls for server systems. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure. Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or obtain a copy of your information, object to or restrict processing, withdraw consent, or complain to a data protection authority. Children and updates
Our technical trading tools are intended for a general adult audience, not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information through these tools, contact us. Other missingSTEP apps may include their own age-specific notices.
We may update this policy as our services change. The date above identifies the latest version. We will provide additional notice where required.
